Helen notched up 2:26:53 in the Senior Women category whilst Caroline came in at 2:38:07 as a Vet. 45 Lady. Special mention has to go to Carole though; who finished 8th in her age range!!! They can be seen on Flickr.com either via this link or by clicking on one of the pictures below:   Grand Prix Updated The Grand Prix Standings have been updated to correct Spencers omission (sorry!) and to add the results of the Devizes 10K: Devizes 10K Results Grand Prix Standings The Terminator Well Done Striders! The first fixture of this year's Grand Prix got off to a flying start in Pewsey yesterday, as a strong Striders team put in good performances all round in 'The Terminator'. The favourable weather meant conditions underfoot were ideal (although some seemed to end up much more muddy than others???) this gave everyone the best chance of beating last years times so we should have some interesting results. (Watch this space!) If you are still interested in participating in the Grand Prix it's not too late to enter. Submit a completed registration form to Sarah Wintle, another committee member, or check out our Grand Prix page for more details. Forms are available on club nights from a committee member. New Links Added The Striders links page (here) has been updated with links to two different sites: Runing For Fun is a great non-profitmaking site with interesting articles for all levels of runners. The Big Adventure Store is a Swindon based business that specialises is Triathalon and Adventure Racing. Both sites are well worth checking out. Special General Meeting Outcome During the Special General Meeting held at the Link Centre on Friday 22nd February 2008 the club voted to ask members to contribute an extra £5 in addition to their club fees to enable that member to use the showers and toilets at the Link Centre and the Oasis all year round. Please give your £5 to a commitee member a.s.a.p.; ideally in the next couple of weeks. Striders Grand Prix 2008 Entries for the Striders 2008 Grand Prix have opened! Details can be found here. Please remember that you must complete an entry form and send or give it to Sarah before you run your first race! Please support this initiative as Sarah and Jenny have invested a lot of their own time into running it. Final 2007 Grand Prix Standings Congratulations Veronica & Chris Final Grand Prix Standings  Well Done Guys! Also a big well done to everyone else who supported the races that were part of the Grand Prix, ensuring a successful first year. As always, thanks to Sarah and Guy for organising the Grand Prix format and compiling all the results! Huge Congratulations to Neil Pringle who completed the 86 mile Ridgeway Challenge just before lunch on Sunday 26th August in an impressive time of 23 hours and 21 minutes! It was an inspirational run and, as always, Neil did it with a smile on his face!

Then try out this nifty little utility on the London Marathon website: http://www.london-marathon.co.uk/routeplanner/index.php It allows you to plot the routes you run and it'll give you a fairly good idea of the distance travelled......it's probably slightly more accurate than Andy Smith's assurances that it's "about six"!!!
