Striders . . . . We thank you for your help . . .

On Saturday 27^th August the Striders as a club, once again marshalled the checkpoint at Foxhill, near Shepherd’s Rest, from 8pm on the Saturday until 8am Sunday.

This year we were very proud to have 4 Striders that completed the challenge
Tim, Mick, Graeme & Andy.
We are very grateful to all of the members that came and helped, supported and encouraged. We had a large bonfire, a tent with food and drinks for the runners, lots of help that kept the checkpoint running smoothly and without problems. We were at 69 miles along the route and provided a very important rest stop and refuelling station for the competitors. Every year we have had very positive feedback regarding the efficiency of our checkpoint stop and this year was another excellent one!

Grand Prix 2012

The annual Grand Prix Competition entry form will be available on club nights.

The idea of the Grand Prix is to reward progress - so it’s not necessarily the fastest that win but the most improved.

Latest details can be found in Race Diary and on our Facebook page, noticeboards or from Sarah Wells on club nights.

Don’t forget to enter the races early as they can be very popular – with the vast majority of entry forms available on-line.
